Ain, Stewart The Jewish Week 12-26-2003 Kindergarten children at the Westchester Day School, an Orthodox K-8 school in Mamaroneck, are learning the true meaning of Chanukah.
At the suggestion of one of their teachers, Jane Grauer, they have agreed to give up one of their eight Chanukah presents and to donate the $10 it would have cost to help kindergarten children in Jerusalem.
Grauer said the money will help the city pay for closed-circuit television security systems that Jerusalem Mayor Uri Lupolianski said the kindergartens need.
