A fondness for muddy-brown, bubbly liquids is not the only thing that unites the Celtic cultures of Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Brittany, Galicia, Cape Breton and the Bronx. The violin is another common denominator, and that small wooden box has brought together Kevin Burke (of Ireland's Bothy Band), Johnny Cunningham (of Scotland's Silly Wizard) and Christian LeMaitre (of Brittany's Kornog) for "Celtic Fiddle Festival -- Rendezvous," their third album as a trio but their first in a studio.
