Later, his parents moved to the Eugene - Springfield area of Oregon, where he attended public schools (Kesey was voted the "most likely to succeed" at his high school in Springfield), then the University of Oregon at Eugene. Married to Faye Haxby in his freshman year, Kesey's main undergraduate interests were sports, drama, and writing. His proficiency in wrestling brought him a Fred Lowe Scholarship that paid for a few terms at the University and he also received some football...
