Sunday dinners for Joseph O. Basile often took place in his company conference room, because his wife and five children were already there working. Mr. Basile, who sold olive oil door to door for his father's business before founding Catania-Spagna Corp. in Ayer, died of heart failure Dec. 20. He was 86.
