ACADEMICS IN Scotland have complained about the omission of John Logie Baird from an exhibition about the Second World War.

They say Baird, the disputed inventor of television, also had a big role developing radar but this is not acknowledged in the exhibition of technological achievements held to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
