Janet (Brewster) Murrow, a writer and correspondent for CBS and the British Broadcasting Corp. during World War II, died Friday. She was 88. Mrs. Murrow, who suffered from Parkinson's disease, died of heart failure at North Hill Life Care Center in Needham. She was the widow of CBS newsman Edward R. Murrow, who died in 1965. She was born in Middletown, Conn. As the president of her graduating class at Mount Holyoke College in 1933, she met Murrow, who was then president of the National Student Federation of America.
