Ion Exchange
The applications of ion exchange (IX) resins in gold metallurgy will be discussed in three main contexts. The first one focuses on the use of the IX resins for the concentration and recovery of gold from leach pulps or solutions. In this case, the resins appear as an alternative to activated carbon, the typical gold adsorbent from dilute cyanide solutions.
