Hans Hageraats and Tad Yamaguchi Hans Hageraats and Tad Yamaguchi earn recognition as Innovator of the Year finalists for their efforts that led to Maxim's MAX2640 and MAX2641 silicon-germanium (SiGe) low-noise amplifiers (see pg 56), which outperform all other low-noise amplifiers in any technology, including GaAs. Hageraats did the circuit design for the devices; Yamaguchi developed the SiGe process.
