AMERY ROHLING WAS BORN IN LINCOLN, NE, ill 1976, but her family moved to Phoenix, AZ, when she was 5, and living in the Southwest has made a difference. You can see that difference in her colors and choice of subject matter. She works in earth tones, in shades of browns and tans the colors of Birkenstock sandals, or in the colors of peaches, sandalwood, chocolate layer cake, and carved wooden boxes.
