In memoir, Yeltsin admits using alcohol to dim stress of job By GERALD NADLER Associated Press Sunday, October 8, 2000 New York -- Boris Yeltsin says in his new memoir that he was drunk when he grabbed the baton and began conducting a military orchestra in Berlin in 1994 but that he now limits himself to a glass of wine a day on doctor's orders.
