IN 19711 TOOK A BEGINNING ACTING COURSE AT THE Lee Strasberg Theatrical Institute on East 15th Street in Manhattan, a modest brick building that remains a destination for aspiring actors to this day. Lee Strasberg was 69 years old at the time--it had been 20 years since he had assumed the leadership of the Actors Studio, and he was to continue his work as a teacher for another 11 years, until his death in 1982.
