It's pleasing to have enjoyed the pleasure of watching developments at both Swinton and AA Insurance. Not quite from birth of course, but pretty close to it.
When the AA started its own motor insurance arm, the insurer Cornhill Insurance - with whom I was working at the time - was one of its select insurer panel. But no mere development person could get near them since everything was handled 'at the top' - rates, products, complaints, the lot. In fact I don't recall the branches getting involved, other than perhaps on claims since everything else was dealt with via Cheadle Hulme in Cheshire. ...
