TONIGHT, AFTER tucking his two daughters into bed, Mike Grice, a 34-year-old IT consultant, will sit at his kitchen table to write a letter to his wife Hannah.
He will write, probably, about preparations for his daughter's ninth birthday tomorrow, including photographs of "happy moments'' of the weekend. He will sign off: "Love always, Mike.''
