The Stones River Cottage is a fresh take on a farmhouse with clapboard and shingle siding, tin-roof porches, and bracing at the peaks of the front eaves.
The floor plan for the house is very simple. A living room and dining room flank a center hall. The architects located the stairs to access the most lived-in rooms at the back of the house instead of the front foyer. There's ample storage space in and around the kitchen. A butler's pantry connects the kitchen and dining room.
