TOKYO - Emperor Hirohito, the world's longest-reigning monarch, was repeatedly vomiting blood and under round-the-clock care yesterday, but officials said the condition of the 87-year-old leader was stabilizing. Imperial Household Agency officials said doctors gave the emperor three blood transfusions yesterday after he began vomiting blood Monday evening. The vomiting continued through the night, but stopped yesterday morning, they said.
