Some extra-innings heroics by sophomore catcher Joslin Higgins helped Concord-Carlisle (17-0) overcome visiting Westford Academy, 1- 0, in softball yesterday. With a runner on second in the eighth, Higgins caught a pop behind the plate, spun, and picked off the runner, who had strayed too far from the bag. "It was a phenomenal play," said Patriots coach Lisa McGloin. Higgins stole the spotlight again in the bottom of the inning, this time with her bat. After Kerry Flaherty sacrificed Brittany Bosa to third, Higgins drove a line drive over the center fielder's head to bring in Bosa for the win....
