They say the choices you make in life can make or break you. As hard as they have been, my life experiences have helped shape the passion I feel, especially for kids.

I was in a situation (growing up) where my mother didn't know she had other choices and stayed in marriages much too long. It was a very abusive home.

I think as a little girl I wanted to be a nun.

I've lived here in Milwaukee since 1968, more than half my life. I came here to go to (college)...
