A California Court of Appeal resolved that a film obtained from a negative pickup deal can be confiscated and sold under a studio to satisfy a third-party legal ruling. Thus, ownership of the film 'The Grass Harp' was given to the person who arranged its funds rather than to its distributor, New Line Cinema Corp.
