The expansion pace is slow ... but USDA's Quarterly Hogs & Pigs (H & P) Report showed mild expansion continued through the three months ended March 1, 2007. High feed costs may have slowed expansion, but hog producers are keeping finishing units full. More importantly, they're also keeping the farrowing house full--and plan to do so through the middle six months of 2007.
