The Maison de l'Environnement in Belfort in eastern France offers an example of how an official building can be rendered with a human touch and how a testimonial can be built for a sympathetic program. Designed to serve as a study base, educational facility as well as a tourist attraction, the center has a lecture theatre and exhibition hall, a reception area, a workshop, a cafeteria, terrace, garage and offices.
