Investment pulled; cable business environment cited
Mark Goodson Products, citing a difficult environment for would-be cable networks, has decided to yank its investment in The Game Show Network.
"The challenge of launching any kind of basic cable programming services, especially given the current reregulatory and limited-channel-capacity issues the business faces, provides little incentive for us to justify our continued management involvement," Jonathan Goodson, president and chief executive officer, Mark Goodson Production, said last week.
