The Good Samaritan in the Bible finds favor with Jesus after he was moved with pity to help a foreigner who was in need.
St. Joseph has a Samaritan of its own on the third floor of the Christ Episcopal Church building, 207 N. Seventh St.
Carol Pittman, a member of Samaritan Counseling Center's board of directors, says the center offers Christian-based counseling to those who might not otherwise be able to afford it.
