Yesterday's weakness on Wall Street dampens spirits Jonas Crosland Leading shares in London have stayed in negative territory this morning, to leave the FTSE100 index 37.6 points lower at 6,182.5 by lunchtime. Mid-cap stocks also lost ground, and the FTSE250 index shed 19 points to stand at 10,950. Most investors stayed on the sidelines, awaiting fresh impetus from Wall Street, and trading volume was particularly weak at GBP625m.
