Francis McLennand Sr., 89, of West Palm Beach, Fla., formerly of Hampshire and Elmhurst, Ill. died Saturday, March 24, 2007, at Hospice of Good Samaritan Hospital, West Palm Beach. He was a resident of Fountainview Senior Living Community. Francis was born Sept. 10, 1917, in Pittsburgh, and lived there until enlisting in the Navy in 1934. His 12 years of active service included duty on the Battleship USS Mississippi and he also participated in over 50 patrol missions in the South Pacific aboard PT Boat @#142.
