I intentionally take as my title: "For a Missiology of Western culture". A phrase the late theologian David Bosch used in a workshop he held here in Paris in 1992 (1). This phrase has helped me to formulate six initial remarks about the marginal situation of mission, before I sketch out some ways that might be used to move missiology out of that marginality.
