Elkhorn -- This year's Walworth County Fair has something never seen in the event's 150-year history: a man as runner-up in the Fairest of the Fair competition.

Kyle Adams, 18, of rural Delavan captured the title of "fair royalty" Thursday in his second year in the competition, which usually features young women as participants.
