Retail stores have been buying factory direct for years. Consumers have had no choice but to purchase products at the retail store level, paying a higher price in most cases because there was a middleman the retailer - involved.
But by going factory direct - where the consumer buys directly from the manufacturer - merchants can offer their customers lower prices, while increasing their own customer base at the same time.
