So long summer, and not a moment too soon. As a disappointing season of would-be blockbusters fades into memory, we look with anticipation to the fall movie season. Fall is a time for thoughtful, intelligent fi lms, such as the forthcoming Oscar hopefuls A History of Violence and North Country, among others.
