NEW YORK The Dramatists Play Service will throw a cocktail party Nov. 14 for legit agent Gilbert Parker, who is retiring at the end of December after 21 years at William Morris and 50 years in the business. Parker began his career as assistant to Audrey Wood, the legendary tenpercenter who repped William Inge, Truman Capote and Tennessee Williams, among others. At MCA and later ICM, he handled foreign, stock and amateur rights for her clients, as well as other agents' scribes, including Lillian Hellman and Paddy Chayefsky.
