"I'm like a kid in a candy shop." That is how Roy Roberts feels as a vice president of General Motors and general manager of the Pontiac/GMC Division.
If there is one word to describe Mr. Roberts, it is enthusiastic. Once he begins a project, there is no holding back.
From a humble beginning in Magnolia, Ark., Mr. Roberts has, at 56, become one of America's industrial giants.
His mother died when he, the ninth of 10 children, was an infant. Mr. Roberts' father had a limited education. However, while his dad didn't make many dollars, he had lots of sense.
