VIRGINIA BEACH - Elpidio Manoso Jr., 74, passed away May 24, 2008. Known as Junior to family and Al to friends and neighbors, Mr. Manoso was born Dec. 20, 1933, to Elpidio Sr. and Helen Manoso in Norfolk. He retired from the U.S. Army after 27 years of service in Kentucky, Virginia, North Carolina, Lebanon, Ethiopia, Germany and Vietnam. Mr. Manoso was chief of security and "Military Mike" at the Military Circle Shopping Center from 1978 until his retirement in 1998.
Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 53 years, Martha Manoso; four sons, Elpidio Manoso III and wife Elizabeth ...
