Edward Joseph Eyring, 67, and Mary Jane Eyring, 65, a Washington couple who directed Gospel Rescue Ministries of Washington from 1996 to 2000, were killed May 14 in a traffic accident in Honduras. A State Department official said the couple's car was struck by a truck on a highway, according to their daughter Margot Owen Eyring. Mrs. Eyring and her husband, an orthopedic surgeon, moved to Washington in 1996 to head the Gospel Mission program.
