Dear Dr. Gridlock: I was reading a letter in your column this morning about snow removal and was reminded of something awful that happened to me a few years ago. I was driving to work on the I-270 spur, and the driver of the minivan in front of me had opted not to clean the ice off of his roof that morning. So, as we were speeding along the highway in fast- moving traffic, a 4-by-6-foot sheet of solid ice flew off of his roof and into my windshield.
