The total output value of Liaoning (province)chemical industry reached 20.2 billion yuan in 1999, holding the fourth place in China. The output value of new products was increased by 1.35 billion yuan in these four years (1996-1999). The output value increased by revamping projects that reached the design capacity was 3.0 billion yuan. The capacity of chemical products in Liaoning has reached 16.22 million t/a today and the output has reached 13.50 million tons.
