New Hampshire has just closed the books on the deadliest year for drivers in 15 years, with fatalities increasing by about one-third despite a similar number of accidents and injuries as the year before, according to Earl Sweeney, assistant state commissioner of safety. "It's a difficult thing to get our arms around, as a relatively small number can make a large percentage increase in a state like New Hampshire," Sweeney said.
