Daly, Lickliter surge into lead

John Daly and partner Frank Lickliter shot a 13-under-par 59 Saturday to take a one-shot lead over defending champions Brad Faxon and Scott McCarron after two rounds in the Franklin Templeton Shootout in Naples, Fla.
The 12 two-man teams of PGA Tour players competed in a best-ball format Saturday in the $2 million tournament hosted by Greg Norman. Faxon and McCarron had a one-shot lead after Friday's first round, played in modified alternate shot. The final round today will be played as a scramble.
