Prepackaged digital images are available in various media, including CD-ROMs from which the images can be transferred, and other sources of stock photographs advertise on the World Wide Web. Scanner quality has been improved by suppliers such as ScanView, which markets a new flatbed scanner with high resolution and optical density. Kodak produces digital cameras for professionals and cheaper versions for amateurs. Also described are computer printers and other peripherals useful for desktop and other electronic publishers.
