The third time was the charm for federal wildlife control agents who say they successfully poisoned some of Lancaster's pesky crows Wednesday afternoon near East Petersburg. Two previous attempts last Thursday and Tuesday of this week to poison the birds were foiled when flocks refused to land in baited fields. Officials in Manheim Township, Lancaster City, East Petersburg and East Hempfield Township were notified this morning that crows successfully ate poisoned dog food nuggets placed in three fields and to be on the lookout for dead crows.
