Crowley Milner Losses Grow On Lower 1st Period Sales
DETROIT (FNS)--Crowley Milner & Co. said the company's losses widened and sales declined 11.3 percent in the first quarter ended April 30.
At the company's annual meeting earlier this week, Andrew J. Soffel, president, said he is "hopeful" that the company will start to show improvement by the third or fourth quarter. He did not forecast a loss for the second quarter and did not provide specific projections for the remainder of the year.
In the first quarter, the loss was $389,263 against a loss of $189,361 in the year-ago quarter.
