Old friends of mine in insurance broking are getting together. The livewire characters at Giles Insurance Brokers (based in Irvine) - in particular the brothers Chris Giles (chief executive) and Nick Giles (deputy chairman) - are acquiring the goodwill of the partnerships of Barry E. Cottle & Co and Cottle Passman & Co, of Halesowen.
Together they will create a business with combined revenues of 5 million-plus, including general insurance business and financial services.
