HOUSTON - Installation procedures have resumed for the Conoco-operated tension leg well platform in the Jolliet field in the Gulf of Mexico, it was announced Thursday.
The installation had been on hold following the sinking of four tendons in rough seas about three weeks ago as they were being towed to the installation site. Following meetings with the U.S. Coast Guard and the Minerals Management Service of the U.S. Interior Department, it was determined that the platform could be installed with the eight remaining tendons, Conoco said.
