Controversial beltway would have passed through western Montgomery County
DAYTON - The Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission officially erased the controversial, long-proposed western beltway from its planning maps on Thursday.
The MVRPC transportation committee voted unanimously to drop the Ohio 892 beltway from its long-range plan, the document that details the region's transportation priorities. State and federal funding hinge on the plan.
