Classic play 'Harvey' comes to Missouri Western this weekend

There are 12 actors appearing in Missouri Western State College's new production, "Harvey." Yet, the cast list has 13 names on it.

The 13th, of course, is Harvey, the imaginary 6-foot white rabbit that gives Mary Chase's classic play its name. Over the month the cast has been rehearsing, many of the actors have begun to develop a relationship with Harvey similar to that of the play's protagonist, Elwood P. Dowd.

"By this time, he's actually another actor on the stage," says Robert Schulze, who plays Dowd. "I just have a good imagination. I think I might see him now and then."
