Physicharles Lane was a lean, hatchet-faced and b espectacled character actor C who appeared in over 250 films during an exceptionally long career. At the time of his death, he was America's oldest living actor ("though there aren't many roles for old goats like me"), having celebrated his 102nd birthday last Monday, and he was also one of the last survivors of the San Francisco earthquake of 1906.
