SUFFOLK -- SUFFOLK - Charles Frederick Williams, while heading to his favorite restaurant, Bunny's, to get a delicious salt herring, passed away as a result of a vehicle accident in Suffolk Feb. 27, 2008. He was born May 5, 1926 to the late Hatcher and Ima Smith Williams in Suffolk and raised on Hidden Acres in Isle of Wight County.

Charles was schooled in Portsmouth. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and continued serving in the National Guard. He was also a past member of the Nansemond Guard in the North-South Skirmish Association. He was an active participant of Bethlehem Ch...
