SEAFORD -- SEAFORD - Retired U.S. Air Force Major Carson William "Bill" Mason II passed away Feb. 8, 2006, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Hampton, Va., after a lengthy illness. Bill was born in Wilmington, Del., Sept. 5, 1929. His childhood was spent in several Pennsylvania towns. In 1941, the family settled in Hagerstown, Md., where he graduated from Hagerstown High School and was active in the Civil Air Patrol.
