The New York City and Vicinity Carpenters Labor-Management Corporation announced that the New York City Union Carpenters and Contractors, in partnership with the Leary Firefighters Foundation, led the way in a massive rebuilding effort aimed at restoring New Orleans' firehouses destroyed in Hurricane Katrina.
In this historic initiative, Union Carpenters and Contractors had the opportunity to help rescue the rescue workers, and restore confidence to a city whose infrastructure was in need of reconstruction.
