The C-SPAN cable television network will broadcast reenactments of the seven debates between Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas for the Illinois senatorial campaign of 1858 between Aug 20, 1994 and Oct 15, 1994. Each broadcast will last six hours in the original Illinois city in which each debate took place. A two-hour preliminary program, a three-hour debate and a one-hour question-and-answer period will be offered.
