CHICAGO (FNS) -- A company owned by Alvin S. Lauter, a principal of Carter & Holmes (C&H), the tie manufacturer that attempted to reorganize in Chapter 11 proceedings, has purchased C&H's assets and is continuing the business.
Lauter said that the assets were purchased by Aranar Trading Corp., a specialty advertising firm, but he declined to disclose terms of the deal.
The company is operating "business as usual" under the name Carter & Holmes, according to Lauter. He added that the company has adequate financing to meet its needs.
