Homestead hockey team on brink of breakthrough

When the Homestead hockey team reflects on its strong start to the season, the Highlanders' 4-1 victory over Brookfield on Nov. 30 immediately comes to mind.
The victory broke down a huge barrier for Homestead (4-1) and gave the team a jolt of confidence because Brookfield had defeated the Highlanders 11 times in a row during the past four years.
